Residential treatment program

Immersive 30-90 day residential addiction treatment

What is residential treatment?

Residential treatment is a level of care in addiction treatment where clients live on-site while undergoing therapy. It provides a structured and distraction-free environment, away from the triggers of daily life. Our program allows clients to focus entirely on their recovery, offering them dedicated time and resources to address the root causes of their substance use. Our residential treatment facilities are located in Camas, WA and Long Beach, WA.

With round-the-clock medical support and personalized care plans, Discover Recovery's residential program is particularly beneficial for those recovering from long-term or heavy substance use, co-occurring mental health conditions, or those who need a stable environment after detox.

Discover Recovery's residential program

At Discover Recovery, we're committed to raising the standard of addiction treatment. Our team brings medicine, psychology, and emotional balance together to help clients in our residential program. Here's what sets us apart:

  • Individualized care: Each client works closely with a care team, including a Master's-level therapist and a counselor, to develop practical skills for managing cravings, triggers, and high-risk situations. Therapy also explores and addresses underlying emotional or mental health issues.
  • Comprehensive psychiatric assessments: Clients receive a full psychiatric evaluation to identify and treat any co-occurring mental health conditions, which are critical for preventing relapse.
  • Holistic approach: We address mind, body, and spirit through mindfulness practices, meditation, process groups, and experiential therapies such as yoga, art therapy, and more.
  • Group therapy: Clients engage in group sessions five days a week to foster connection, gain peer support, and develop interpersonal effectiveness. Group topics are informed by evidence-based modalities such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
  • Warm and supportive environment: At its heart, our program aims to instill hope and empowerment. Our locations in Washington State are nurturing spaces where clients can feel understood, supported, and motivated to achieve lasting change.

Most clients stay for 30 to 90 days, depending on clinical needs, insurance, and personal goals. Your care team will work with you to determine the right length of stay.

What's the difference between residential and inpatient treatment?

The terms are often used interchangeably. At Discover Recovery, residential treatment offers 24/7 care in a structured setting with therapy, medical supervision, and peer support: all in a non-hospital, home-like environment.

What should I bring to residential treatment?

You'll receive a packing list before admission, but most clients bring comfortable clothes, toiletries, insurance cards, and any prescribed medications. Leave valuables at home.

Is Discover Recovery licensed and accredited?

Yes. We are licensed by the Washington State Department of Health and accredited by both CARF and The Joint Commission. We were also named one of America's Best Addiction Treatment Centers by Newsweek.

Can I stay in touch with family during treatment?

Yes, we encourage healthy connection. Family communication is built into our program, and our staff can facilitate counseling or updates when appropriate.

Is there support once you leave sober living?

Yes. Discover Recovery provides aftercare planning and alumni support services. Our goal is to stay connected to clients long after they leave formal treatment, offering ongoing encouragement, referrals, and connection to community-based resources.

Who is eligible for sober living at Discover Recovery?

Our sober living program is available for patients in our partial hospitalization program (PHP) or intensive outpatient program (IOP). Contact our admissions team to learn more about availability and whether sober living is the right fit for your treatment plan.
