Dr. Kevin McGinley, PhD, LCSW, SUDPt

Kevin McGinley has been working in mental health and substance abuse treatment for 20 years. Prior to working in this field, he taught and administered in the University. He was tenured in the philosophy department at Gonzaga University in 1997 and worked as Dean of the School of Philosophy and Letters there for five years, from 1992 through 1997. In 1999 he changed his focus and began a Master of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis, completing the MSW degree in 2001. Upon graduating, he began working in community mental health at Willapa Behavioral Health in Long Beach, Washington. He worked there for 12 years. The last three years there he split his time between Willapa and his private practice. In January of 2014 he was hired as clinical director for mental health services at Free by the Sea, a dual-diagnosis chemical dependency and gambling treatment program in Ocean Park, WA. He worked there for 5.5 years. In October of 2019 he began working as mental health provider at Discover Recovery in Long Beach, WA.
