I can not even find all of the right words to describe Discover Recovery Prune Hill. Plainly stated, this is not my first time in recovery. I have personally and professionally seen many different rehabilitation centers and multiple treatment modalities. Discover Recovery was SO completely different than anything else I had seen or experienced. When they say holistic, it is no joke. I'm talking three absolutely amazing meals a day cooked by the sweetest chefs (who, by the way, will know you by name and all of your nutritional preferences), a gorgeous and clean facility, a very wide range of classes, just enough free time to work on self care and relax without being bored out of your mind, an open exercise area, outings to discover having fun sober again, art classes, pottery, equine…

Camas I was 37 years old and struggling heavily with alcohol addiction. For years, I had refused treatment or any kind of help. When I arrived at Camas, I didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I checked in, I was greeted warmly by one of the techs, who immediately eased a lot of my anxiety. I was shown to a detox room that was comfortable and welcoming, and the cooks, nurses, and techs made the detox process as easy and comfortable as possible. During my 30-day stay, there were numerous group sessions led by knowledgeable counselors, as well as opportunities for one-on-one counseling. This location turned my life around, significantly. Their program is unlike any I have been to before, and focuses heavily on individual counseling for both mental health and for substance use. There are regular groups as well, all of which focus on aspects of recovery. Many focus on aspects of recovery beyond just discussing substance use topics, like groups focused on body movement and physiology that play into things like the flight or fright system, something not everyone but many people struggle with in their use and early recovery. My point is, their program is very well rounded, and while they do have the occasional 12-step thing (mostly outings to area meetings) their program doesn't focus solely on "read the Big Book". This place saved my life! The entire experience was top notch: intimate setting, luxurious accommodations (4-5 star hotel level), private chef prepared meals, awesome recreation room with pool table, pong, gym with Tonal, incredible staff and counselors/therapists, designed for working professional adults, zero court ordered situations, patients there want to be there, etc...! Aside from the aforementioned, when I was there for a period of 35 days, the largest number of person's in the house was 10, I think the max they allow is 13. With an expertise background in Drug and Alcohol Detoxification, Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis Treatment and individualized treatment plans specifically tailored to each client you get one hell of a program. If you're in your addiction, but make a choice to live, you've found the right place. The people here are as good as you can hope to find. Every staff member here, from maintenance to therapists to the nurses, to counselors to the owners are just incredible. Many of them are in recovery themselves. They are beautiful, caring, qualified individuals who believe in what they are doing. They gave me some hope and I ran with it and haven't looked back since. The thoroughness and quality of this program is impressive. You do some difficult work, but they also take care of you and do some really fun things as well. Discover recovery is changing the life of my family. The staff genuinely care from the intake coordinator who goes above and beyond to the in-house activities team, chefs, doctors, therapists, counselors, and treatment providers. The treatment facility is lovely and private, with a focus on overall well-being. At discover recovery you are treated with respect and love while being educated. The robust types of therapy used ensure a comprehensive treatment. This is how every single treatment facility should be run. I feel so blessed that I found this place, it saved my loved ones life.

If you are in need of a treatment center for addiction, I would highly recommend this place. Every staff member from top to bottom cares about what they do and the people they are helping. The majority of the counselors and therapists are extremely qualified and good at what they do, including the owner himself, probably most of all. It is a great environment for rehabilitation. If you went to this place and didn’t leave immeasurably improved, I would be shocked. And from what I have heard about other rehabs, this one is by far one of the best you will find.

Great facility and fantastic staff, with great services that truly help. Not one of those rehab/recovery facilities that stuff in as many people as possible and ignore individuality - instead Discover Recovery focuses on a wholistic approach, with individual attention and care. My 30 day stay here has changed my life - they helped me get it back! My two kids now only know a sober, healthy, supportive Dad; and my wife has her husband back. I highly recommend DR, they will help you stand up again.

Tremendously helpful experience at a point in my life when I desperately needed it. Amazing place all around. The group and individual therapy was professional, the house and property were beautiful and serene and the food was healthy and delicious. Hands down best Recovery facility in Oregon or Washington. Everyone who worked at Discovery Recovery truly cares about your well being and healing process.
