Co-Occurring Addiction and Personality Disorder Treatment at Discover Recovery
We offer treatment for personality disorders and addiction in residential treatment at our centers in Camas and Long Beach, WA, and outpatient treatment at our clinic in Portland, OR. No matter where you or your loved one are on the journey to recovery, we can provide care and support.
Detox with Help
Medical and residential detox is available at our Washington State centers. During detox, we’ll help you or a loved one quit active use with 24/7 medical monitoring, nutritional support, and medication-assisted treatment when needed. Additional support is available in our residential, outpatient, and sober living programs.
Learn to Regulate and Cope with Emotions
Many personality disorders cause intense emotions or reactions to them. Talk therapy, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), can help you or a loved one recognize strong emotions and find healthier, more balanced ways to cope. Our team will create a tailored therapy plan that uses methods proven effective in treating your specific diagnosis and circumstances.
Rebuild Bonds
Supportive relationships with loved ones are important to long-term recovery. Substance use and personality disorders can both cause strain on relationships with friends, family, and other close connections. Family therapy sessions during treatment at Discover Recovery can help you and your loved ones learn to communicate in a healthier, more effective way. Plus, group sessions can help you connect with others who are facing similar challenges.
Find Peace and Purpose
Life can be overwhelming, even if you’re no longer using substances. Clients at Discover Recovery don’t just reconnect with their health but also with their peace and purpose. Pottery classes, an on-site gym, sound baths, and therapies like expressive arts and equine sessions allow you or a loved one to discover and explore new passions, hobbies, and ways to decompress without substances.
