Julia Anderson is a dedicated and compassionate licensed clinical social worker (LICSW/LCSW), a credentialed Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADCIII) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health and social work fields. Her career spans various roles, including working with children and families in public schools, as well as with the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). Over the course of her professional journey, Julia has developed a deep understanding of the importance of recognizing and respecting her clients’ individual strengths, including their cultural backgrounds, values, beliefs, communication, and learning styles.
For the past 10 years, Julia has focused on providing care coordination and case management to individuals across the lifespan, working with adults, youth, children, and families. She has seen firsthand how mental health and physical health are intricately linked, understanding how substance use often serves as a coping mechanism for unaddressed mental health challenges and past trauma. Julia believes in meeting clients where they are, respecting their right to self-determination, and creating a space for transformative change.
Born and raised in the former Soviet Union, Julia immigrated to the United States in the early 1990s. She holds master’s degrees in social work and addiction, further equipping her to make a meaningful impact in her field. Julia’s passion lies in empowering individuals to find meaning in their lives, promoting self-determination, and supporting work-life balance.
Outside of her professional life, Julia enjoys the Pacific Northwest, spending time at the beach, savoring coffee, and cherishing moments with her family.
